Join Chicago for Abortion Rights for a Valentine's Day themed fundraiser and discussion on the politics of medication abortion.
On Sunday, February 12th from 3-5pm at Haymarket House, Dr. Mary Bowman, an abortion provider at Choix, will speak on medication abortion and telehealth provision. What does it feel like to have a medication abortion? How does telehealth abortion care work? What are the current threats to medication abortion in the post-Roe era and why is it important to advocate for increased access to medication abortion? What is the important role that Illinois plays in providing abortion care to those in surrounding states with bans and restrictions?
This event is free and open to all! Masks are required. We'll have plenty of time for socializing after the discussion. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
